The Solomon Rehearsal Spaces managed by Platt House (SPLATT) include Solomon A29, Solomon A2, and Solomon A3. The SPLATT spaces are located in the Solomon Building at 3720 Walnut Street. These rooms are generally intended for theatre and small band rehearsals. Priority for these spaces is given to TAC-e groups. At the end of each month, the next month's TAC-e schedule is drafted by the Platt House Associate Director, Megan Edelman. Should you wish to reserve SPLATT spaces, please utilize this tool to request space. Please note, requests for the next month will not be approved until the TAC-e schedule for that month is in place. This is generally completed by the 26th of the month prior.
To select more than one half hour block at a time: After you select a green block, select the drop-down menu with the time and date. Set that to the preferred end time, pending availability.
Upon submitting your first reservation request, please e-mail platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu immediately with your Penn ID number, as the space requires PennCard Access. In your email, also be sure to request the code for accessing any SPLATT rooms, as there are keycode locks on the doors.
Please note: Solomon A29 is only available during the academic year: End of August through Mid-May. Solomon A2 and Solomon A3 are only available during the academic year through Spring Break.
Please note: the usable musical equipment in this space is the keyboard and the teal drumkit. Any other musical equipment in this space is not available for use by groups reserving this space. This is especially true for equipment labeled with another group's name. If you have questions about equipment, please contact platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu
Masks are strongly recommended in Platt House managed spaces.
- Do not overcrowd rooms.
- Take frequent breaks.
- You must record the name, email address, and phone number of every person who attends your activity. This is important in case contact tracing is needed.
