Space Availability - Platt Student Performing Arts House

Platt House has performance, meeting, event, and rehearsal space available to the Penn Community. Spaces are primarily intended for use by student groups under advisement by Platt House staff including PAC groups. However, Penn student groups and individuals are welcome to reserve rehearsal rooms.

To select more than one half hour block at a time: After you select a green block, select the drop-down menu with the time and date. Set that to the preferred end time, pending availability. 

If you intend to hold a public event such as a master class or workshop, you must make special arrangements by e-mailing platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu.

It is expected that all rehearsal room users following these guidelines:

  • Always carry your PennCard with you;
  • Only bottled water permitted in rehearsal rooms;
  • Clean up after yourself;
  • Return the room to its “basic setup” and return borrowed furniture to its original locations;
  • Please turn off the sound systems and lights upon exiting;
  • Report needed repairs and housekeeping to platthouse@pobox.upenn.edu.

 

Masks are strongly recommended in Platt House managed spaces.

  • No eating permitted in Platt House rehearsal rooms. 
  • Do not overcrowd rooms. 
  • Take frequent breaks. 

By submitting your reservation request, you agree that you and all members of your reservation will adhere to the regulations listed above and in the terms and conditions. 

In addition to the spaces within Platt House walls, Platt House staff manage reservations for the Penn Live Arts Dance Studio (formerly the Annenberg Dance Studio). This space is located at Penn Live Arts and is primarily intended for student dance groups not affiliated with PAC. Platt House also manages reservations for three basement rooms in the Solomon Building (SPLATT – Solomon Platt Annex).
